| Introduction | Parents of four great kids, and a tendency of telling people they're wrong when they stereotype parents experiencing homelessness as crack addicts, drunks, and whores. We're now nine years past experiencing homelessness. Currently I'm employed in the medical product industry since 2013. Prior I went 'hard core' as an online content writer, and received credentialing as a Certified Recovery Peer Specialist-Adult through the Florida Certification Board in 2009, based primarily on my advocacy as a blogger. Yes, I used my blogging history as required validation of competency and advocacy as the basis/criteria why a State Certification Board should provide me credentials as a competent Mental Health Professional. My long term goals are to see my children continue to live without their families experiencing homelessness. In my mind I have a vision where no person on our planet must experience homelessness. If you keep it in your mind, if you believe it in your heart, and if you remember it each day, you too can make whatever you choose happen. |
