| Introduction | I grew up in Norway, lived in the US for 10 years and moved to İstanbul, Turkey the summer of 2010 with my husband and our son. I'm creating this blog to try to share some of the moments of our life here with family and friends in Norway and Massachusetts, US.- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - Istanbul has had many names, i.e. Byzantine, Constantinople, and MIKLAGARD, which is the name the vikings gave it. Miklagard means "the big city" and it was the biggest city the vikings knew. It is still one of the biggest cities in the world with a population of 12.5 million people. |
