Introduction	Educated at Clitheroe Grammar School and University of Manchester - B.A. Hons. Ancient History and Archaeology. Worked in the media and teaching before working as Archaeology Officer at Barnet Museum in north London for 20 years while bringing up family. Assisted Dr. Ralph Merrified in the study of apotropaia of domestic and farm buildings in the north-west. Worked alongside English Heritage/Museum of London producing research designs prior to rescue archaeology. Assisted Neil Oliver and Optomen TV team in research for Two Men in a Trench TV programme. Four books - Geoffrey de Mandeville and London's Camelot (1997), 800 Years of Barnet Market (1999), Wall of Silence (2004) and The Lure of the Lancashire Witches (2011).
