| Introduction | Graphic designer and contemporary artist. Born in Tokyo in 1971. Graduated from the Vantan Design Institute's Fashion Design Department in 1992. Spent three-quarters of life living in various foreign countries, including Hong Kong and the United States during the 1970s and 1980s, due to father's work. Captivated by India in the 1990s, extended nomadic tendencies to Asia, Central and South America, and the African continent. In 2000, inspired by the birth of his first son with a French woman, returned from Bali, where he was residing at the time, and established a design studio in Tokyo. Since 2006, resides in Arles, France. Father of two. Known for a provocative style, black humor, surrealism, and eroticism. Influenced significantly by the pop art of Tadanori Yokoo. グラフィックデザイナー、現代美術家。 1971年東京生まれ。1992年バンタンデザイン研究所ファッションデザイン学部卒業。 70~80年代の幼少期を父親の仕事の都合で香港や米国で過ごした事が影響し人生の四分の三を諸外国で生きる。 90年代にインドに取り憑かれその放浪癖をアジア、中南米、アフリカ大陸に伸ばす。 2000年、フランス人女性との間に長男を授かったことをきっかけに当時居住のバリ島から帰国、デザイン事務所を東京にて始動。 2006年よりフランスのアルルに移住、現在に至る。二児の父。 挑発的な作風、ブラックユーモア、シュール・レアリズム、エロティシズムを特徴とする。横尾忠則氏のポップ・アートに多大な影響を受ける。 |
