Introduction | Jim Ruggirello has been the music critic for the Long Beach-based Gazette Newspapers (www.gazettes.com) for 20 years. After a successful career in Southern California as an educator, accompanist, vocal coach, and conductor, he became Director of Education for the LA Philharmonic, and subsequently held positions with the Pasadena and Long Beach Symphonies, the Asia America Symphony, Long Beach Opera, and the Pasadena POPS. He retired after 10 years as Supervisor of Homeland Cultural Center in Long Beach. |
