| Introduction | I did not know where to start. Just starting this Blog was almost too unreal. But it has been a few months now and I am ready to tell you about me. I am a fused glass artist. That is the end result so far. Before getting here I was volunteer, a leader, a teacher, a decorator, landscaper, a caterer, and I worked in retail. Many of these jobs were very creative and filled my artistic needs until I could devote the time I wanted with this exciting medium. I love taking classes to improve my skills and learn new techniques, which I tend to apply to what I already do. This building process is what makes fused glass art work so different and remarkable in how it is viewed and eventually used. MORE MUSINGS: The last few years I slowly realized that I hate to repeat any thing I do. It shows up in my work. I design and produce one of a kind work. I can use the same colored glass combinations or the same mold shape, but they will never be identical. |
