Introduction	I was initiated to learn Vedic astrology in 1985. Learning initially through classics and the books by modern writers I could not find out replies to the confusions, inconsistencies and contradictions including: - the functional nature of planets; - the placement and strength of planets; - the role of maraka sthanas - the role of the malefic houses; - the importance of the upchaya houses - methodology of reading divisional charts; - the importance of mooltrikona signs; - the orb of influences in planetary conjunctions and aspects; etc. etc. I presented the results of my findings on the above issues in my ten books published in India. I got positive feedback from many professional astrologers and learners who were struggling to learn the predictive accuracy and trying to attain confidence. My work was recognised by many Organisations in the field of Astrology in India.
