Introduction | Hello, We are full time studio potters. We live in a unique and diverse pottery community in central North Carolina, among 70 other studio potteries. To learn more about the Seagrove Potteries visit our group www.discoverseagrove.com. Our Bulldog Pottery shop is located five miles south of Seagrove and five miles north of Star on Hwy. 220 Alt., our pottery shop hours are Tues. - Sat. 10:00 – 5:00. We are here most Sun. and Mon., please call if you are making a special trip to visit us. Our studio is a collaborative environment that provides us with support to express our independent voices; more than, we could achieve individually. We brainstorm for ideas by formulating and testing clays, glazes, surface treatments, and playing off of each other’s intuition about the materials and processes. Together we develop and share a “treasure trove” of clay and glaze vocabulary. Bruce Gholson is fascinated with fossils, reptiles and insects. Recent interests include Chinese scholar stones, and arrowheads from the region. Samantha Henneke enjoys taking pictures and is fascinated with macro photography, she explores her garden and surroundings collecting images. |
