| Introduction | I am a poet, performer, teaching-artist turned mom and children's book author. I graduated with departmental honors in English from the University of Pittsburgh and received my MFA in Poetry from NYU. The author of the adult poetry collection, Radishes into Roses, my work has been published in a bunch of labor-of-love literary journals and am honored to be the Poetry Editor of the Bellevue Literary Review. I live in NYC with my husband and toddler son. I believe that children's picture books are one of the highest of arts forms. The sophisticated combination of visual art and words can be done so beautifully that it rivals the work seen in contemporary galleries and performance spaces. |
