Introduction | After living a life of being told that I had no artistic talent, imagine the surprise in the blessing of becoming an artist. Sometime around 1999, I recognized my talents and abilities. The ability to create has grown ever since. Some of the people who appreciate my work call me a “green artist” because I recycle and reuse many of the objects in my art. I enjoy participating in the summer art shows. It is at these shows that I am not only able to show but discuss my creations. Having these discussions is pleasurable and also leads to expanding my creativity. I have shared my talents by being a volunteer art teacher at Temple Academy in Waterville. I also teach classes at a local stamping store. Whenever I can, I am very willing to teach others. One of the hopes that I have is to educate people to the fact that art comes in many styles and forms. I also readily agree that beauty is bountiful and is all around us, if we only take the time to look. My mission statement is as follows, “If in my lifetime, I am able to live a Godly life and share beauty, love, and happiness, then I will have achieved my goal in life. Only then will I have been successful.” |
