| Introduction | Since the mid 1990s, my work has evolved from the womb of my mother’s crazy craft room filled with endless supplies to a one - room studio in my desert home filled with images that remind me of where I’ve been. My work has involved the creation of photographs that are both visual observation and conceptually set up images that allude to a story. Travel, music, and silhouettes have become prominent features in my work over the years. My medium has shifted from hand-developed film and prints to the ever-popular digital format. In my work I explore objects, buildings, people, and subject matter through a minimalist eye and attempt to portray the photograph, as it’s own entity. The threading theme that I cannot deny is a popular one in photography, but still true in mine, and that is to preserve something for the fear of forgetting. As is the ocean to weather, my work is temporal in nature, and is in constant metamorphosis. Here you will visually experience this process through words and image. |
