Introduction This is my take on the world. As I love real ale and pubs, a lot of the action takes place in and around them, but my interests extend to food, places, music, a smattering of politics, communities and what makes them tick, sport - football, cricket in particular, with music a constant soundtrack. I often go off at a tangent but that's the way I am. I hate bureaucracy, have become more cantankerous as I stumble into my 60's, but as cynical and whingy as I can be, there is so much to love, cherish and smile about in the world around us. This is what I aim to reflect....
Interests Real Ale and Pubs, Music, Football - more specifically, Halifax Town, Cricket, Travel, Talking, Walking, Exploring, the list goes on....
Favorite Movies Best film? Not a massive buff, but there are a few - 'Goodfellas', 'Crash', 'Brassed Off', 'American Pie', 'Pulp Fiction', 'Oh Brother, Where Art Thou?' 'Shawshank Redemption', 'Trains, Planes and Automobiles', 'Pale Rider' and 'Brief Encounter' are all ones I can watch time after time!
Favorite Music Eclectic. I listen to an ever-changing mix of music and am genuinely excited by the wealth of new music and talent around us. I am constantly seeking out new stuff whilst I love a lot of the stuff I grew up with - the Stones, the Who, Cream via Stone Roses, the Smiths, Bruce Springsteen, Dylan, Neil Young - my touching points tend to revolve around folk, country, Americana, indie stuff. In a nutshell, the ears are always open!
Favorite Books Love Ian Rankin's 'Rebus' books, and virtually anything by Iain Banks and JG Ballard. Travel books, especially the 'Rough Guide' series are essential reading both on the move and in the armchair
