| Introduction | I live in Fairview Heights, Illinois with my husband, Drew, and two dogs, Lucy and Gizmo. My husband and I got married back in July of 2006. I have been in the Alton School District, teaching 5th grade, since 2005, and I had a long term substitute position in the Collinsville School District one year prior to coming to Alton. Before teaching, I worked at the Savvis Center (now known as Scottrade) as a waitress in the Club Restaurant. I grew up in Collinsville, Illinois and was a member of the dance team from 8th-12th grade, and then again throughout my college career. I also started playing the piano when I was in 2nd grade and still try to keep up with it whenever I can. I always enjoy trying and learning new things, and I hope to instill the same sense of adventure and independence with my students. |
