IntroductionJohn Jay Fossett is a principal of Strategic Advisers, LLC, a Fort Mitchell, Ky.-based consulting firm that provides government relations, media and public relations, and other consulting services. Prior to founding Strategic Advisers, Fossett was the City Manager and City Solicitor for the City of Covington. He is a 1981 graduate of the University of Kentucky, 1987 graduate of Salmon P. Chase College at Northern Kentucky University, and a 2010 graduate of the Executive Leadership and Organizational Change masters program at NKU. Fossett was editor-in-chief of the Northern Kentucky Law Review and law clerk to Ohio Supreme Court Justice Craig Wright. Fossett was an associate with the law firm of Strauss & Troy and a founding partner of Fossett, Howe, Wessels & Ogle, which merged with the Cors & Bassett in 1997. Fossett obtained his B.A. degree (journalism and political science) from UK, where he served as editor of The Kentucky Kernel, the independent daily newspaper. After graduation from UK and before law school, Fossett was a newspaper reporter and editor for four years at the Louisville Courier-Journal and The Kentucky Post.
