| Introduction | Hi! Thanks for stopping by my blog. I hope it is a blessing to you and your loved ones. I am first and foremost a child of God living life abundantly. I am a mother and classical educator to two children (currently a 17 y.o. boy and a 14 y.o. girl) and a wife to a husband who is a full time hospital chaplain. I am also a cancer survivor and an end of life doula and spiritual care provider (chaplain). | Interests | My family, friendships, serving, social justice (immigration reform, bail/jail reform, healthcare access, pharmacogenomics, education), learning all good things, spiritual care and growth, emerging mental health therapies (tapping, EMDR, Somatic Experience), referrals, resourcing (sharing is caring), end of life services. Cancer. Languages (I speak Portuguese, English, Spanish, French, a little Italian, and studied Latin, Hebrew, and Japanese). |
| Favorite Movies | Happy ending stories of good vs evil: Labyrinth, Lord of the Rings, Harry Potter etc. Dystopian movies like the Giver, Minority Report, Gattaca, The Host, The Island. They spark great conversations about gene editing and limited earth resources (stewardship). Ethics discussions. I like adventure movies like Tron Legacy, Indiana Jones, Marvel and DC comics anything. Documentaries are a must. My favorite is 13th by Ava Duvernay |
| Favorite Music | Too many to list. I tend toward hunting melodies. |
| Favorite Books | The Bible (like a waterfall to my thirsty soul..never ending supply of life). Great historical fictions, spiritual books, classics. |
