| Introduction | I have three new books due to be published: STUDYING BROKEBACK MOUNTAIN (Auteur), MOVIE MOVEMENTS (Kamera Books) and a book about the films of filmmaker James Cameron (Wallflower Press). In May 2010 , at the IMAX cinema in London, a new short film entitled CHASING COTARDS was premiered. The film was based on a screenstory that I wrote for the project. I studied at the University of Warwick (BA Hons, Film and Literature) and the University of Bristol (Postgraduate Diploma in Film and TV Production). Fo ten years ( 1997 - 2007 ) I worked in community media as a writer, producer and facilitator. During this time I also produced two short-film broadcast commissions for Carlton TV, one of which made the BAFTA longlist in the category of Best Short Film for 2002. As a commentator I have appeared on Channel 4 and Channel 5 and the BBC World Service's On Screen movie programme. I have taught at the University of Sussex, The University of Gloucestershire and at Hereford College of Arts. I currently teach Culture and Media at City College, Brighton and Hove. |
