| Introduction | My name is Thom. I was brought up in a christian home and attended a christian school. Later in life, I married and planted a church, pastoring there for nearly 12 years. I went back to a christian university and it was there that the bottom fell out of all my religious foundation. I had always felt that God was always against me; keeping track of every mistake and every sin I committed and just waiting for an opportunity to pour out his anger on me. In the spring of 2014 I felt like this had finally happened. This blog is about my climb out of personal spiritual homelessness and ruin and back into the discovery of a kind and loving God that I never knew existed. Only this time God lives outside the walls of the church and is more real to me than I ever dreamed he could be. |
