| Introduction | I am a homeschooling wife and mom. I have three children (8, 6, & 2 1/2). Trying to figure out how to juggle everything with grace and humor fills my days. I've still much to learn. |
| Interests | Homeschooling with toddlers around, there's not time for anything but the daily tasks. They used to be the performing arts, eating fabulous food with good friends, travel, reading. |
| Favorite movies | Musicals - Favorite is probably "Seven Brides for Seven Brothers", but there are too many good ones to count. Period Dramas are my other favorite genre - esp. literary adaptations. Emma Thompson's "Sense and Sensibility" is definitely up there. I just finished watching the TV show "Lark Rise to Candleford" and was entranced the entire month it took to consume all four seasons. |
| Favorite music | Musical Theater, music from the 30's and 40's. Favorite singers are Ella Fitzgerald, Vic Damone, Frank Sinatra, & the like. I like it mooney and swinging. I also want it to make me get up and dance. |
| Favorite books | I don't get to read much anymore, but love "Pride and Prejudice" (however cliche), "Les Miserables", I enjoy Dickens, Wharton, and my most recent discovery - though hardly unknown - PG Wodehouse. He's too funny. I had to stop reading him b/c I wasn't getting anything done. My husband got sick and tired of me reading instead of paying attention to him, the house, and the kids. I'm going on vacation, so I might take one of his books along. |
You have to dig a hole to China. Where do you start?
I'd rent a huge digging machine and start in Mongolia, Laos, Myanmar, Bhutan, Nepal, or the like. I'm way too lazy to do any more work than is absolutely necessary.
