| Occupation | A ex-banker who chose to chronicle sports history as a lifelong passion. |
| Location | Kozhikode, Kerala, India |
| Introduction | My journey into sports history began during my college years at Malabar Christian College, Calicut, where I launched a sports magazine in 1976 celebrating the institution’s rich athletic heritage. Over time, I contributed as editor to several notable sports souvenirs, including the VI Jawaharlal Nehru Invitation Football Tournament (1987) and the Silver Jubilee Souvenir of the Kozhikode District Sports Council (1983). |
| Interests | In the 1980s, I became a familiar voice on All India Radio, Kozhikode, presenting sports quiz shows, interviews, seminars, and match analyses that highlighted national-level events in North Kerala. My involvement in athletics deepened in 1981 when I became one of the first Calicut-born individuals to qualify as a national official under the Amateur Athletic Federation of India—a sport I had actively pursued in my youth. With over five decades of experience as an athlete, official, and organiser, my commitment to sports remains unwavering. I am currently engaged in a historical research project titled “From Faiths, Festivals and Rituals to Records: Malayalees at Play,” which examines Kerala’s unique sporting culture. Professionally, I served as a manager at South Malabar Gramin Bank and later ran a publishing venture, ‘The Heritage,’ until 2020. |
