| Introduction | My history, not always that explicit, is registered, certainly, in these loose pages, which are also insurgent, fragmented, timeless, without nexus, nor text or context and will be in others pages to come. They are poetical fragments that arise from memories, from imagination, mine or from others, printed somehow in the contemporary form of books that I create. Multiculturalism, the Brazilian religious spirit, archaeologies and heredities, revolutions, feminism and the feminine have been constant topics in my work. My prose resembles a magic ritual; it begins with the act of unpacking, uncasing, digging up, and displaying pages and objects which, conceptually, interact by the power of allusion or metaphor recalling an intimate narrative, almost confessional. It finishes with the action of putting them away in the same exhibitor support. My objects embrace from Art Books, Bags, Oratories to Installations and Wearable, Edible, Decorative Ones. |
