Introduction	I was diagnosed with Alpha-1 Antitrypsin Deficiency on January 5th, 2005. It is an inherited condition in which there are low levels of AAT in the blood. Alpha-1 is an enzyme produced by the liver and released into the blood stream. One of the primary roles of AAT is to protect the lungs from (NE) Neutrophil Elastase an enzyme released by white blood cells which destroys the air sacs in the lungs. I am being evaluated for a double lung transplant. I grew up on Brookdale Rd. in Lancaster, Ohio. In 1983 I graduated from Berne Union High School in Sugar Grove, Ohio. I had a wonderful mom and dad growing up. Sadly they are both gone. I am an only child and my daughter is an only child who is a Freshman in college. My husband Mike and I have been together for 14 1/2 years. Our first date was on March 25, 1995. We got married on July 12, 2003 and live in Lancaster, Ohio. I have 3 dogs and 9 cats. I am a very big animal lover :)
Interests	Spending time with my family, friends, animals. I like looking in antique stores, finding different places to eat, geneology, scrap booking.
Favorite movies	My number #1 movies I like to watch are Scary ones. I do like a variety of action, comedy and romance. I loved the movies: Superstar & Forgetting Sarah Marshall............
Favorite music	I like all kinds of music.
Favorite books	I like reading christian and supernatural books.
