Introduction	My interest in taking pictures began at a young age. I remember receiving my first Polaroid camera at age 8 and from then on I was unstoppable, taking pictures of anything and everything. My most vivid memory of that camera was setting my dolls up in my "studio" for portraits. Photography has always been a hobby on the side, not something that I thought about pursuing in a professional way until lately. I taught a class on photography this past semester and it was in teaching that class that I really considered making something of this hobby. I love catching those off key moments and the way you can look at a picture over and over again and feel exactly the way you did when it was taken just by looking at it! To me that is what photography is all about, freezing memories in the lens of the camera, capturing life in the "real" moments. That is what I hope to do.
