| Introduction | I am an 27 year veteran of the Electronic Distribution Industry. I have seen the internet revolution's remarkable impact on the business with the flattening of channels combined with the amazing delivery efficiencies that FedX and UPS brought. The impact of low cost manufacturing centers around the world and especially China has had profound ramifications. The most negative and dire development on the world scene since my tenure began has been the rapid rise of counterfeiting and its nefarious hub in the Shenzhen district of China. It is estimated that the damage caused is an astounding 30-50 billion dollars a year in the electronic component space alone (or more)! I have made it mine, as well as the company's mission, to create ways for our clients and peers to protect themselves against the scourge that this situation has become. |
