| Introduction | I am the Executive Director of the Hegeler Carus Foundation. We manage the restoration of The Hegeler Carus Mansion, a National Historic Landmark built in 1874. We also are restoring the Julius W. Hegeler I home, which is located across the street and was built in 1902. The mansion is almost completely unchanged since the turn of the century. My staff and I find new discoveries and fascinating stories all the time. I hope you will enjoy reading about them, and that you will come visit us soon! |
