| Introduction | I am a 30 something, introverted-extrovert, easy-going perfectionist, atheist, politically-liberal environmentalist, pit bull advocate, and NPR junkie. (How's that for a long list of stereotypical labels that might scare the crap out of somebody.) After a list like that, I guess I should say that I am also very open-minded and LOVE learning about other peoples' views of the world. I have a hot, amazing husband who is also my best friend. Despite growing up in northern Idaho, where California is a dirty word, I find myself living the good life in sunny, 70-degrees-all-the-time, Ventura. I started blogging to keep our friends and family updated on our adoption from Ethiopia. In February 2011 we brought home our son and our daughter. Life sure has changed. Our dogs definitely don't get the attention they used to and there is a lot more macaroni and cheese (with ample berbere added, of course) consumed in our household. For the time being, the blog will survive as the place I come to process the inspiring, challenging, heartbreaking and heartwarming world of international adoption and all things family. |
