Introduction | I discovered jewelry making in my mid-teens, around that age when girls start worrying about being "pretty" I suppose. It started as a hobby of making simple bead earrings and hemp macrame necklaces but quickly steamrolled into a full blown addiction. I moved on to stringing necklaces, bracelets and anklets. Soon after I discovered seed beads. At first I had NO idea what to even do with them other than use them as spacer beads. But then I discovered peyote (or gourd) stitch and I was absolutely hooked. It was (and still is) amazing to me that you can put these little tiny things together to create something more beautiful than the sum of its parts. I take my "addiction" pretty seriously...I pay close attention to details and weave each bead with love. If I am feeling grumpy or sad I do NOT bead, as I believe that energy can seep into the piece I am creating. Luckily I'm a pretty happy person and have a wonderful loving husband who understands and helps support me in my artistic endeavors. |
Interests | Beading and jewelry making (obviously!), live music, music festivals, hoop dancing, yoga, crafting, gardening, cooking, chilling with friends, cuddling with the hubby |
