| Interests | Mark Hafeman is a third generation artist. His mother Jane Hafeman is an illustrator, and portrait artist who uses watercolor and oil paints. As an undergraduate at Georgetown University, Mark took several design and ceramic classes and later taught ceramics. He has taken several oil painting courses from local Southern California artists including: Annie Kwon and Paul Thornton in figure drawing, Mark Strickland in oil painting and Margot Lennartz in landscape painting. Currently plein aire painting and landscapes are his focus because of the opportunity to use a colorful palette. These augment his interest in travel photography with a focus on the natural and cultural wonders of the world. |
