Interestsdesigning and handcrafting all kinds of gifts, including traditional jewelry, bottle cap jewelry, cuff links, decorative wine stoppers, polymer clay creations, just about anything with resin...reading, talking, bragging about nephews, watching movies, etc
Favorite moviesSay Anything, One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest, Heathers, A Few Good Men, Downfall (in German), an old Czech flick, etc
Favorite musicHard to say...Tracy Chapman, Bob Marley, Depeche Mode, Violent Femmes, NPR, The Roots, Spearhead...so much music I have yet to hear
Favorite booksAlso hard to say as I read obsessively yet have a terrible memory...Beloved, Slouching Towards Bethlehem, Harry Potter series (and I'm not ashamed to admit it), just about anything by Calvin Trillin, Night (and just about anything by Elie Wiesel), Bell Canto, Water for Elephants, Interpreter of Maladies, Sam Patch, the ballad of a jumping man

Radio wire is often used to make bird nests. What station do they listen to?

Stations, actually. The birds enjoy a mixture of "Oldies" and NPR. In terms of Oldies though, they're really only listening to hear one song: "Rockin' Robin." They just can't get enough of that chorus, "All the little birds down on Jay Bird Street love to hear the robin go 'Tweet, Tweet, Tweet.'" As for NPR, that one's obvious, right?
