Favorite Movies	This risks becoming an encyclopedia entry...but directors like Maya Deren, Werner Herzog, Harry Smith, Jonas Mekas, Chris Marker, Agnes Varda, Jane Campion, Quentin Tarantino, The Brothers Quay, Jan Svankmajer, and genres like Huangmei opera, dance films, puppet films, B-grade cinema (such as "Dracula in Pakistan") and monster flicks, silent films, Japanese horror, noir detective...my tastes are wide and varied... from experimetal art to classics to kitsch trash, there's something to love in every film.
Favorite Music	from Chopin to punk, from Gypsy swing to noise music, from Chinese opera to Balkan folk, I'm all over the map.
Favorite Books	Authors from Kafka to Proust to Charlaine Harris to Haruki Murakami to Ferlinghetti to Philip Pullman to Earl Biggers to Susan Sontag to Carlos Ruiz Zafon to Barthes to Conan Doyle to Lafcadio Hearne to Stieg Larsson to Anchee Min to, well...I'm all over the map here too!
