Introduction Born in Charleston, S.C. and grew up in Atlanta, GA. Attended Atlanta public schools, BA from Ga. State University, MDIV Emory University. U.S. Army infantry officer following ROTC commission. Served with 82d Abn during 60's. Returned to U.S. and entered United Methodist ministry. Retired in 2004. Work with at-risk kids in Cartersville and serve as pastor-emeritus at Douglas Street UMC where wife, Angela (Often Angelita to many hispanics), is Sr. Pastor. One child, Keila, who will graduate this year this year from Berry college in Rome, GA, majoring in sociology, and several other grown-up kids who lived with us for extended periods of time: Veronica (now mother of Karina), Alex (now a sergeant in the Air Force), Jessy (graduate of Hong Kong University in International Law as her class valdictorian), and Suphanni (Just graduated from University in Thailand). Veronica now has her first child, Karina, who was premature by 2 1/2 months, and experienced a brain bleed which has caused some cerebral palsy. We're working with her now, and she's making remarkable progress. She'll be two this November.

Favorite Movies Once Upon a Time in the West, The Mission, Star Wars series, Star Trek series, and I have to add AVATAR. Also, the occasional F grade bad horror flick...anybody ever heard of the English movie, "The Blood on Satan's Claw?"
Favorite Music Anything Bach, Renaissance, Baroque, Classical, some popular, some country...in other words, I'm fairly eclectic in my musical tastes.
Favorite Books The Once and Future King, Nevil Shute's works(with especial love for Round the Bend), Kipling, Daniel Silva's works, C.S. Lewis, esp. Screwtape Letters, Anything by James Lee Burke (One of the best current writers), Wilbur Smith's novels, poetry, sci-fi books, especially love classic sci-fi, Heinlein, etc.
