Introduction Based in Erskine, Renfrewshire, on the banks of the River Clyde, I have been a keen photographer for over thirty years, specialising in Scottish landscapes, wildlife and historical sites. I have my own stock-photography website with a vast number of images covering a wide variety of subjects, however, as time passes I am becoming increasingly interested in the River Clyde and the endless photographic opportunities it presents. There is still plenty of nautical activity on the Firth of Clyde to keep anyone who has an interest in ships busy even though the Golden Era of shipping has long-since passed and aircraft transport a small but significant portion of the world`s cargo. Islands, sea lochs and rugged peaks combine to form the wind-battered, deeply indented coastline where the River Clyde opens out into the Firth and the Lowlands and Highlands meet. This landscape, often transformed by seasonal changes, provides a spectacular backdrop to the ships that still sail Scotland`s grandest river.
