| Introduction | I am puzzled as to why it is hard to describe myself. Maybe it's because I am complicated and a little crazy. I am a 40 year old mom, wife, and teacher. I am a passionate person. About what, you ask? The answer to that is, "a lot of things." I love my family. I am a worrier. I am a champion of equity for women, children, and immigrants. I actually like my husband. I miss my dad. I enjoy delicious cocktails. I love a good laugh, or cry, with friends. I cherish my pets. I am not necessarily fond of "walking on the beach at sunset or dancing in the rain" although, those things are nice. At the end of the day, I am grateful to live in the United States where I am free to be a practicing Christian, a Democrat, and supporter of Constitutional rights. I believe that every child can learn and that each person has an obligation to advocate for positive change. |
