Introduction David Hall is a self-taught cook, food writer and primary school teacher who writes and educates on the subject of food. After reaching the final of BBC’s MasterChef Goes Large in 2007, David realised that what really made him tick was a passion for local food and producers, designing recipes that demonstrates what makes the north east such a gastronomic area of importance. David now helps to inspire people to achieve what they want through his educational food demonstrations. Renowned for his approachable, entertaining and natural style with an emphasis on family food, David has worked extensively and taught thousands throughout the UK at farmer’s markets, agricultural shows, schools and food festivals. As a freelance food writer for newspapers, national magazines and websites such as The Times Online, Olive, Taste Britain, Flavour, Accent and Tastes of Britain, David writes articles and recipes and speaks to people in the way that makes it all seem so fun, simple and achievable.
