Occupation Retired, owner/buillder of a cabin in Mammoth, Utah.

Introduction I've been playing guitar since dirt was new. I'm not very talented, just persistent. Do anything for 50 years and you're bound to get good at it. I play a Cervantes Hauser Concert Model and an old, beat-up flamenco guitar. I've played for General Authorities, and jammed with temple presidents, but my favorite audience is my wife Barbara.
Interests Family, music, aviation, genealogy, languages, wood carving, puns, BBQ, and collecting old, 78-rpm phonograph records. I play guitar, mandolin, harmonica, and bluegrass-style autoharp. I would love to start a Colonial-era cooking club. Our motto would be, "If it ain't Baroque, don't fix it!"
Favorite Movies 2001 A Space Oddessey, The Music Man, The Scarlet Pimpernel, The Sting, The Princess Bride, The Sound of Music, West Side Story
Favorite Music I love Beethoven, Mozart, Bach, anything Baroque, classical guitar, a capella Gospel music, folk music, classic rock, old-time country music, Miriam Makeba, and Nancy Ames.
Favorite Books Anything by Robert Heinlein, Lord of the Rings, The Caunterbury Tales (in Middle English), Catch-22.

If mud is dirt plus water, what is clay?
