Occupation | Retired, owner/buillder of a cabin in Mammoth, Utah. |
Location | Santiago, Chile |
Introduction | I've been playing guitar since dirt was new. I'm not very talented, just persistent. Do anything for 50 years and you're bound to get good at it. I play a Cervantes Hauser Concert Model and an old, beat-up flamenco guitar. I've played for General Authorities, and jammed with temple presidents, but my favorite audience is my wife Barbara. |
Interests | Family, music, aviation, genealogy, languages, wood carving, puns, BBQ, and collecting old, 78-rpm phonograph records. I play guitar, mandolin, harmonica, and bluegrass-style autoharp. I would love to start a Colonial-era cooking club. Our motto would be, "If it ain't Baroque, don't fix it!" |
Favorite Movies | 2001 A Space Oddessey, The Music Man, The Scarlet Pimpernel, The Sting, The Princess Bride, The Sound of Music, West Side Story |
Favorite Music | I love Beethoven, Mozart, Bach, anything Baroque, classical guitar, a capella Gospel music, folk music, classic rock, old-time country music, Miriam Makeba, and Nancy Ames. |
Favorite Books | Anything by Robert Heinlein, Lord of the Rings, The Caunterbury Tales (in Middle English), Catch-22. |
If mud is dirt plus water, what is clay?
