| Introduction | I am a mother to a little boy who would be 15 years old if he were with us today. The first years of this blog were all about the loss of him and the struggle to build our family after that loss. Nearly 16 years later, and I can still say I miss him every day of my life. I'm an ER nurse in a rural hospital, currently working on my PMHNP and raising three living children ages 14, 8, and 4 along with a small zoo of half-domesticated dogs, cats, and a husband. Recently, my life was rocked by a breast cancer diagnosis at the age of 38, and in the aftermath I seem to have found my way back here. |
