Introduction	I am a "Fabric Engineer," making mostly wearables. I also make jewelry, ornaments, toys, etc. etc. On May 12, 2017 I retired from my job at Rice University in the anthropology department. I moved to Portland, Oregon so I could watch my 2 grandchildren grow up. My super power is stopping buses with my butt. Ten days after my retirement party I was hit from behind by a bus while walking Sweetsie. The impact shattered my right hip. I'm lucky to have survived. I'm working hard to get back to a normal lifestyle.
Interests	I LOVE PINK POODLES! Sewing is my number one interest, including garments, crafts and art; fiber arts; books; travel; cats,etc.etc.etc..... Lately I've been reading about Japanese culture.
Favorite movies	Update: My favorite is the new Star Trek movie- "Star Trek Into Darkness!" Star Trek 3 - the one with the dolphins has now moved into the #2 spot.
Favorite music	I Love Rock and Roll by Joan Jett is my number one favorite since it was released in 1982.
Favorite books	White Teeth by Zadie Smith
