Introduction Jean-Paul Fallavollita has studied creative writing and art and art history at both the University of Toronto and Sheridan College. He received his degree in Adult Education through Brock University. Primarily a still-life and figurative artist utilizing pencil, charcoal and pastel, Fallavollita explores the use of line and shape as they suggest an underlying psychological narrative in his artwork. Fallavollita has given oration on Michelangelo’s Hercules and Caucus at the Casa Buonarotti in Florence, Italy, and his co-designed sculpture of the Canadian Vietnam Veteran’s Memorial placed first in open competition. His sculptural works have been displayed at the Blackwood Gallery at the University of Toronto, Mississauga. Currently, Fallavollita is entering the world of comic books, both writing and illustrating a graphic novel, tentatively titled "This Year’s List" as well as writing a youth orientated comic book series. He is a frequent contributor and consulting editor to the online comic book, music and pop culture magazine, Biff Bam Pop!
