| Introduction | And oh, I'm navigating my way through a new life (is 6 years still "new"?) in Sydney, Australia. There are more days it still feels like new; there are some days I feel like I've been here for so long. I work part time, but I worked from home as a freelancer when my second son was born. I then did the full SAHM gig shortly after my third son was born and we moved to Australia. I've worked as a researcher, writer and editor in the areas of development work, social justice, analysis and policy research, Philippine indigenous communities and the environment. To this day, I remain interested in Philippine and Australian indigenous and environmental issues. Yet here I can indulge myself in other things I am keenly interested in: cooking, art and design, textiles, thrifting, movies, vermiculture (worm farming), and container gardening. |
