| Introduction | willful, growing, caring, strong, hopeful, searching, finding, loving, knowing, learning **What follows is the full response to the "liner notes" question. They wouldn't let me have more than 150 characters! "I would just like to say that I did not embark on this new venture with any enmity or hostility in my soul; I love my band dearly and they have become my best friends. Our decision to go our separate ways musically was born out of the realization that the time of Pocketful of Stars has passed, and that in order to continue growth and expansion, we must give ourselves more room. It is, therefore, with a hopeful heart that I plunge into this new project, this uncharted territory, and attempt to produce art that is purely of my own self-- an act which I hope will not seem too narcissistic. I humbly present to you--my esteemed colleagues and fellow artists, my dear friends and comrades, and my most humbly accepted fans--my own creation. May it touch you in a way that justifies the amount of time, energy, and money sacrificed on its behalf." |
