About me

Introduction	Sherri wanted to weave after visiting Fort Hays as a class trip at age 11. It wasn't until college when Sherri bought an angora rabbit at a craft fair that she joined the weaving guild she knew about because of her friendship with Tamara. It was through the guild that Sherri bought a loom from the K-State disbanded weaving program and also learned to spin. After graduating college, Sherri moved to Kansas City and was again living locally to Tamara. When Tamara mentioned knitting mittens but ended up not learning she gave the needles and book to Sherri. Sherri was also unsuccessful learning from the book but then signed up for a six week long learn to knit mittens class at the Yarn Barn starting a passion that has replaced weaving. She is still knitting and spinning daily.
