Lejeune founded the Marine Corps Association in 1913, one of his stated purposes was “publishing a periodical journal for the dissemination of information concerning the aims, purposes, and deeds of the Corps, and the interchange of ideas for the betterment and improvement of its officers and men.” The Marine Corps Gazette is the product of that mission. |
