| Introduction | We are two nature enthusiasts that currently call Manhattan home. Molly is a botanist and a writer, Martin is an environmental educator and a writer as well. Though we both grew up in other countries, Molly in England and Martin in Norway, we've developed a deep love for American nature and wild life. This love is what gave rise to the idea of crossing the country by foot, from East coast to West. Starting in February 2012 Martin, accompanied by our dog Frøya, will set out to cross the country on the American Discovery Trail, Molly will join later in the spring. We'll be equipped with no more than the three of us can carry on our backs. We intend to document our journey using cameras and our trusty notepads. |
