| Introduction | I could tick off my attributes, but that is not the least bit revealing or even vaguely interesting. I am a classic SAG (with terrible scorpion tendencies). Read me, you'll get an idea of what I am about... |
| Interests | For some reason I get stumped attempting to articulate what interests me. For starters I am a dreadfully curious person. I am intrigued by what (specifically who or those) I don't know; new cultures, new people, their way of life, beliefs, faiths, how they've come to their station, their stories, their joys, their sorrows...,I am interested in humanity. *Plus I love writing, reading, culinary reality tv, politics, football, and feather touch massages! |
| Favorite music | Another tough one for me to answer...I have a motley music collection. What's in rotation? The standard bearers:, Nina, Sarah, Etta, Billie, Coltrane, Mahalia, Duke Ellington, Thelonius, Davis. Some new discoveries and acquisitions:, Midnite, Abyssinians, Band of Horses, Modest Mouse, Jeff Buckley, Damn D, What I'm listening to now?, Mazzy Star |
| Favorite books | I have had a significant read in each phase of my life which cycle one per decade. These were novels that deeply resonated with me and impacted either my worldview or philosophy of life. I've read 3 such books that fit the bill., Alice Walker's The Color Purple (swiped my mother's copy and read cover to cover when I was 9), Ayn Rand's Fountainhead and Atlas Shrugged (I cliffed all req'd reading my highschool jr year-still got the A and gorged on my interest de moment!), East of Eden by John Steinbeck(Enlightened me in my darkest days about 6 years ago) |
