Introduction	My husband and I have been married for 8 years, and we are currently living in Houston, TX with our son, Ethan, and daughter Elise. Elise was born with a rare pediatric liver disease called Biliary Atresia (BA), and she received a life-saving liver transplant on March 23, 2014. Elise's diagnosis, transplant, and ongoing care has completely changed our life and priorities, but it has made us much stronger as a family. I am a licensed clinical social worker (LCSW), and although I briefly resigned from my job following Elise's diagnosis, I have now returned to work. I make every effort to restore normalcy to our life in all ways possible. All in all, i have never used my social work skills more than I am now.....True. Story.
