| Introduction | I live in Hawaii, a place of my birth. Our family beginnings are humbling with my dad coming from Japan in his teens to later work on a sugar plantation. My mom grew up in a plantation home with both parents working in the fields. She and her sisters helped the family to earn extra money by washing never ending loads of clothes by hand for unmarried plantation workers. My mom and dad always kept active and busy through their lives and I find myself doing the same. Last year, I created a cookbook to help raise money to contribute to the American Cancer Society. This year is to start an etsy shop and this blog. |
