Introduction My childhood was spent growing up on a farm in the mountains of northern Pennsylvania. In those years I learned the lessons that would mold my character and moral center. In my teens I moved to a small city in southeastern PA. Like many teens I had my rebellion and found the futility of it. During my late teens I moved to central PA and in high school lost my heart to the girl who is now my wife. Presently I'm well into midlife and slowing rapidly. The things I used to do, I can't even remember. Married as 2021 for 46 years, we have a son, a daughter and five grandchildren. My son has two boys, my daughter three girls, I love irony! I am adding 2 great grandsons! I'm self-employed for most of 35 years in construction. Doing a project for a customer and getting their approval is wonderful and inspiring. I started writing when my children were younger. I did some stories for them and over time it became more of an interest. I now have four completed novels and several shorts and am working towards getting one or more published. One short has been published.
Interests Listening to good music especially while reading or writing. I love walking in the woods and exploring towns I visit. I enjoy flying, though I'm only an armchair pilot. A flight of jets or airplanes can turn my head any time. It's fun tinkering, fixing, working with my hands. Cooking is as near a hobby as a need, probably because I love to eat. I have a blast cooking and do so often. I love my own cooking and would look like Jabba the Hut, but I seem to be able to walk away before I pass out.
Favorite Movies The Tolkiens LotR, Star Wars, Star Treks, Old creeper movies, Abbot and Costello, Stargate, Bowery Boys, Charlie Chan, Dr. Who, Meet Joe Black, The Harvest and oh, I know it doesn't fit the profile, Sleepless in Seattle, and too many others to list, but I;m not into gore.
Favorite Music Good gospel, hymns, Classical and a wide variety of well written and performed genres. Not Metal, Grunge, no grunting, dog barking(Pink Floyd), or other such noise which in my opinion do not constitute the requirements of being music, the jury is still out on disco, :) Went to see Phantom of the Opera on Broadway and was thrilled with it.
Favorite Books The Bible and many commentaries on it. Foundation series by Isaac Asimov as well as many others of his, Dragons of Pern By Anne McCaffery and many others by her. Andre Norton and I've read many in the Dragn Lance series. Several by David Eddings I like Sci-Fi, fantasy, good historical that's not too dry, and my own

Why does the color blue mean raspberry-flavored?

Why is it we can never find a lost item until we've purchased another of the same?
