| Introduction | I'm a 50-something mostly fit father of four married to a girl I met when we were teenagers. I did radio for 28 years, was a journalist for nearly three and am now a record dude for eight weeks & four days as of this writing. I just threw my entire personal and professional life into a complete, albeit voluntary upheaval by taking a job I've never done, in a city I've never lived in, completely away from my family for the first time. I'm half Irish-half Italian and was voted "Best Personality" by my fellow ninth grade graduates at Nobel Jr. High School in Northridge, Ca. There's a great country song by Jo Dee Messina called "I'm Alright" that best descibes my lot in life so far: "I'm above the below and below the upper." I've owned seven Honda automobiles in my life and prefer an aisle, versus a window seat. My idea of the perfect cocktail is a shot of tequila and a Heineken, although I've been known to drink a single malt scotch at times. My favorite number is 50. But enough about me ... |
