| Introduction | Being born in the 50's makes me fifty-ish. I grew up in a ranching community of the Nebraska sandhills. That lifestyle impressed a love of rural America on me. As a young woman I moved to Texas; a new wife and mother, raising three sons here in East Texas. They are grown now and two have families of their own. Being grandmother is a great reward, just a little better than being a mom. My family brings me great joy and having daughters is wonderful. A big change in my life brought me to the B&B business ten years ago. I came to Holly Hill as a determined and hard working single person. Many people ask why I chose this business and the answer best explains who I am. I love God's people, love gardening, antiques(it's the best way to recycle),cooking, and I love life. In ownership of a B&B one gets to experience all those things. A wonderful man came for lunch with my first group of guests. He asked me out but to make a short story we went out six months later, dated for four years and now have been happily married for over five years. He loves this business as much as I do...I think. Life is good atop Holly Hill. |

Aren't papier mache cuts the worst?
never got one but the biggest papier mache project I ever did was a huge giraffe for a school play
