| Introduction | We have been friends since our days at Meredith College. We both married our college sweethearts from NC State, and years later we were both blessed with children, BUT…our first children were our dogs. Maridith’s dog (kid), Chewbacca, was a gift to her husband back in college. Chewbacca is a yellow Labrador and is 10 years old. Charity’s dogs (kids), Higgins and Magnum, black and white English Pointers, were brought into their home after their marriage. Higgins is 6 and Magnum is now 7. We each babied our dog as if they were our kids. You name it, they got it! After we had our children (the ones that look like us), we saw how the dog(s) becomes The Other Kid and can be pushed aside to make way for the new baby. To break the mold and include the first kid(s) Maridith and Charity has developed a line of apparel called The Other Kid. Have your “Kids” match, coordinate, or just be really stylish in our apparel. |
