| Introduction | Three events happened within 12 hours that resulted in me placing an order for a motorcycle. These were:- 1) Friday evening, 11 February 2011 - Watched a BBC DVD – Inspector Morse entitled “Who killed Harry Fields” In the episode Harry Fields drives a vintage classic motorcycle, a Vincent Black Shadow. The Vincent Black Shadow was a hand-built motorcycle produced by Vincent HRD from 1948. Fewer than 1,700 were made and it has always been a dream-machine for me. 2) Saturday morning, 12 February 2011 - When traveling to breakfast (The Dubliner, Sukhumvit Road, Bangkok), I was overtaken by a Triumph Bonneville – it looked beautiful. 3) Over breakfast, I read a tweet from @photo_journ (Be inspired #ogilvy) that included a link to a Taiwanese advertising video clip: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vksdBSVAM6g - I placed an order, and paid the required deposit, for a Kawasaki ER6-n immediately after breakfast. |
